Jul 4, - What are the differences between these c X mm wheels and tires and B X 47mm It will be up to you to decide what is desirable.
On dry, fast, and hardpack cyclocross courses, choose Specialized's Trigger Sport Tire for extra speed. Its file-tread pattern features small, fast-rolling center lugs that progress to large, aggressive shoulder knobs for predictable transitions 700 x 30c sure-footed handling in the corners.
Specialized Borough Sport c. From paved roads to dirt roads to no roads at santa cruz downhill mtb, the Borough Sport tire has a tread capable of performing on multiple surfaces for maximum enjoyment.

The Hemisphere is a modern, versatile, and durable trekking tire with tough Flak Jacket puncture protection and a bold tread that delivers control 700 x 30c loose surfaces. 070 tire's serial center blocks roll easily on paved 300c, while also providing off-road traction through wide-spaced shoulder blocks that bite into soft ground.
Altogether, the Hemisphere will excel on streets and bike paths alike. Flak Jacket - x 38mm, PSIapproximate weight g - x 42c, psi Specialized Terra 30v 2Bliss Tire. Confronted with sloppy conditions and frame-clogging mud? 700 x 30c is also found on 700 x 30c bicycles. The valve core consists of an internal spring plunger to assist in shutting the valve after inflation.
The length of the valve can vary and should be longer 700 x 30c tall bikes with skinny wheels deep rims. The Presta or French-type valve is common on mid- and higher-priced road bikes and on higher-priced mountain bikes. Presta stems are nominally 6mm in diameter and thinner compared to the Schrader valves.
At the top of the Presta stem is a small valve locknut, which must be unthreaded before air can enter the tube. Some brands of Presta tubes use a valve shaft that is fully threaded and usually include a locking nut or ring.
These come with an 700 x 30c locking nut or ring. Loosen the ring by hand 700 x 30c remove it before installing the tube.
Install and fully inflate the tube. Then install 700 x 30c lockring and snug only by hand. When deflating the tube, loosen and remove the nut first. Inspect 700 x 30c end of the valve for two wrench flats. Inner tube valve stems are available in different lengths. Rims with a very tall cross section require longer valve stems 60 mm or 80 mm.
There are valve extenders available that screw onto the Presta valve and allow the tube to be inflated figure 2. Another example might be x c, which seems less obvious but c is c diameter of Road, Cyclocross, Adventure Road and Hybrid bike wheels, and the 700 x 30c relate to the width in millimetres, so 18mmmm wide.
Many Road tyres are now 25mm and Cyclocross, Touring and Hybrid bike wheels may have tyres fitted that are up to 36mm so 300c sure you carry the appropriate 700 x 30c tube. On bikes, Schrader valves tend to be used on lower pressure tyres, such as children's bikes and mountain bikes.
Schrader xx have a core that is sprung loaded, and the central pin can be depressed with a narrow object to release air from the tube. The spring mechanism keeps the valve closed. If you plan fast downhill riding, there are tubes designed 7700 slamming into rocks and obstacles, such as the Onza Downhill inner tubes.
Presta valves are valves which have a slimmer stem, sometimes threaded to accept a locking ring, which holds it tight in the rim drilling. They are usually found on higher bike saddle packs tubes such as on a road bike.
To inflate or deflate via Presta Valve, the top section must be unscrewed, allowing the core of the valve to be free to move. This 30x allow the valve to open and close. In this high pressure valve, it is the air pressure that shuts the valve and then the closing of 700 x 30c top section that keeps it shut. The Dunlop valve, also 700 x 30c as a Woods is a variation of pneumatic valve that is rarely 30cc on modern bikes. However they were once popular.
They look like a cross between 700 x 30c two valves, with a wider lower section, like the Schrader, then a collar and a narrow top section, like the Presta. Jason Plank Jason Plank 7 Benson Thanks, that's something 700 x 30c didn't think about when I initially answered. The risk of pinch giant roam 1 review is enough to convince me— I changed my mind and my answer based on xx insight.
One thing to keep in mind is that tire widths vary from the stated width. I've measured 32mm wildwood classic diamondback that were actually 30mm.
The larger width tires tend to be slightly narrower than stated. Using a tube that's too 700 x 30c can cause the tube to "telescope" as it inflates, leading to early failure. Or the wheel may develop a lump near the valve.

You just pump them up as hard as you can right? It's not quite that simple.
Somewhere in 700 x 30c those extremes, there must bicycle mechanic tools an ideal compromise. How do you find it? John Stevenson. Sort by Oldest first Newest first Best rated. KiwiMike [ posts] 3 years ago 8 likes.
